How I Work: Compassionate, Evidence-Based Therapy

Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I believe in meeting each client exactly where they are — with warmth, flexibility, and tools that actually help.

My approach combines evidence-based modalities, lived experience, and a deep respect for your voice and story. You’re the expert on your life. I’m here to help you make sense of it, reconnect with your values, and move toward a life that feels more like your own.

My Therapy Style

  • Collaborative, not prescriptive

  • Nonjudgmental, trauma-informed, and grounded in curiosity

  • Focused on healing the root, not just managing the surface

  • Deeply informed by lived experience and identity work

  • Flexible and individualized — because no two clients are the same

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, eating disorder recovery, trauma, or self-worth, our work will be shaped by your unique needs and goals.

Modalities I Use

  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)

Helps identify unhelpful thought patterns and explore how they influence behavior and emotions. Supports building practical coping tools for anxiety, depression, and eating disorders.

  • DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)

Focuses on mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and improving relationships. Especially helpful when emotions feel intense or hard to manage.

  • ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)

Helps you learn to sit with discomfort, reduce avoidance, and make choices aligned with your values. Encourages flexibility and forward movement even when things feel heavy.

  • CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy)

Supports clients in understanding and processing trauma, and how those experiences may be affecting current beliefs, emotions, or behaviors.

  • Solution-Focused Therapy

Centers on your strengths and the future — what’s working, what you want more of, and how to get there. Great for setting goals and building momentum.

  • Intuitive Eating & Body Image Work

Guided by the principles of intuitive eating and body trust. Supports clients in healing their relationship with food and their bodies in a weight-inclusive, anti-diet way.

My Guiding Principles

  • Health at Every Size (HAES®): I do not promote weight loss or use weight as a measure of progress. Your body deserves respect and care at every size.

  • Fat-Positive & Anti-Diet: I work to dismantle diet culture and support body autonomy and food freedom.

  • Trauma-Informed: Safety, consent, and collaboration are central to everything we do.

  • Identity-Affirming: I hold space for your full self — including your culture, gender, sexuality, and lived experience.
